Puma is a large and rare blue fawn pit bull/mastiff mix that we, Rescuzilla, pulled from death row at the pound…
Puma is up for adoption and ready for a forever home. He requires a confident owner and responds well to reward training. Puma is not dog aggressive but is dominant so unless you have a submissive female he should be an only dog for now.
Puma was a stray before being picked up by Animal Care & Control in NYC. He is 62lbs but should be around 75lbs when he is back to form. He is neutered and in vet care right now. Please email Rescuzilla@gmail.com for more info.

Jessica Prokop of Jessica Leigh Photography is a friend to animals, especially homeless pit bulls…
Jessica is proud mama of two rescue cats and one adopted pit bull, Winnie, whose happy go lucky attitude makes her an as good an ambassador as you can get for not just pit bulls, but for any dog. Jessica’s eyes were opened up to the world of pit bulls through Winnie and she has been using her camera skills with multiple animal welfare groups to highlight homeless animals. Her stunning pictures have shown the core of a dog’s soul which greatly boosts their adoption chances. NYLD is grateful to know her as are the many animals she has helped and continues to help.
Jessica is a working photographer in NYC and does private sessions ranging from model shoots to album covers to you guessed it, pet portraits. I will treasure these beautiful images she did of my beloved Juno forever. Please visit Jessica’s Website at www.jessicaleighphotos.com for any of your photography needs…she has a heart of gold to match her most amazing talent.

Part of being a responsible dog owner is being a good dog neighbor. Would you want to live next door to someone who allows their dog to urinate on flowerbeds or run all over another’s property? Of course not, so use the golden rule: do unto others as you would like them to do unto [...]
